SEATTLE – On Wednesday, Washington head baseball coach announced his first Husky recruiting class, signing 11 players to an NLI on National Signing Day.
 
Eight of UW's signees hail from the state of Washington, while Kelly and his staff also added a pair of California natives and an international from Japan.
 
A detailed recap of Washington's 2023 signing class can be found below.
 
Louie Albrecht
C • Renton, Wash. (Kentridge/Washington State)
 
2022 (Sophomore, Washington State)
• Did not see action and was redshirted
 
2021 (Freshman, Washington State)
• Appeared in six games, two as a starter
• Went 1-for-5 with one RBI and one walk
• Perfect fielding percentage on 19 putouts
• Made collegiate debut on defense late in the win at Dixie State (2/26)
• Made first career start and recorded first career hit on infield single, with 1-for-2 with an RBI at UNLV (3/24)
 
HIGH SCHOOL
• Played for John Flanigan at Kentridge High School
• Ranked the No. 1 catcher in Washington by Perfect Game
• Tabbed a PG Honorable Mention Preseason All-West Region honoree
• Named All-North Puget Sound League as a junior
• Batted .459 as a junior with 25 RBIs and 10 stolen bases
